About Dr. Teresa
Teresa M. Signorelli is a NY State Licensed, ASHA Certified, Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist.
She has gone beyond the field's entry level Master's training and acquired a Doctoral degree to more effectively blend the latest research to the clinical arena.
Dr. Signorelli is the Director of the Smadbeck Communication and Learning Center and the Neurodevelopmental & Rehabilitation Laboratory in the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Program at Marymount Manhattan College. She also consults private practice.
Dr. Signorelli has 18+ years experience in communication skills improvement and 15+ years experience in laboratory research in communication sciences and disorders.
She is a leading scientist and clinician for issues regarding language development across the life-span and the multilingual brain. Her work has been published and presented at conferences internationally.
Dr. Signorelli is uniquely qualified in her knowledge of the special mental and muscular processes of multilingual communication to best assist speakers, of all backgrounds, reach their communication potential.
She is proficient in both Spanish and English and is licensed to provide services in both languages.
